United In Impact

We align and partner with organizations committed to opening greater access to water, food, and health for a deeper impact on the communities we serve.

Opening Access To Water With Innovation: Africa

Innovation: Africa (IA) has been bringing clean water to remote Sub-Saharan African communities through Israeli solar technology since 2008. They’ve completed their advanced solar-powered water systems in 1,300 villages and impacted 5.7 million lives.

In 2025, Innovation: Africa and Lalumwe teamed up in Chipata, Zambia to bring both clean water and a large community farm to the Mpeni village. By using IA’s water system, we were able to create ample water flow through our drip irrigation system to create a sustainable future of farming and commerce for the community.

Improving Maternal Health With Shamir Medical Center and the Zambia Ministry of Health

During a meeting with the Zambia Ministry of Health in 2023, Lalumwe identified the need to open access to prenatal care to mothers in rural communities. It was explained that most expectant mothers do not see a doctor due to the long distance to clinics and fear of food insecurity. Dr. Mike shared a new ultrasound platform that turns any iPad into a fully-capable ultrasound machine. The app allows doctors from Shamir Medical Center’s Emergency Medicine department to guide ultrasound technicians remotely in real time and diagnose any potential prenatal issues.

The Zambia Ministry of Health has adopted this technology, pairing it with Starlink bandwidth in rural communities, as a leading solution to decreasing maternal and newborn deaths. Due to the significant increase in demand, this program is expected to be widely adopted across the country.
